AT OUR NEXT S.A.C.S DAY: 14th June 08
PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE NOW STARTING AT 11am !!!!!
The S.A.C.S team, have decided to spice things up abit, by having a new system of events.
There will now be a weightpull sprint competition, the categories will be 30-40 LB, 40-50 LB, 50-60 LB. Dogs will pull a tyre over 35meters as quickly as possible in 1 minute. Any dog failing to pull in the allowed time will be classed as a no-pull.
The long jump competition will follow. The long jump will be set in two categories, under 20" and over 20". Each dog will take a turn, starting with 3 poles. Each round a pole will be added. You can wait until more poles have been added, until you wish to enter the competition. If you feel your dog is capable of jumping more poles than the starting point. If dogs fail to clear the jump, they will have one more attempt once all dogs have completed the round. Failing to do so the dog will be ruled out.
The A-frame competition shall follow. Dogs to do as many overs in 1 minute. Yearlings can do 30 seconds on the puppy A-frame.
Lunch
After lunch the puppy racing shall begin (50m). Each dog in the main racing, will now do two runs at 100m and the running dogs 135m. At the end of this, if you wish, we will be having doubles, where dogs that are running around the same time can be raced together, each dog WILL be muzzled during the race. Do not worry if you do not have a muzzle. We have our own ones which you can use.
There will still be tug of war, flirt pole and boomers balls to play with.
