A dog who befriened everyone. She had a great love of children and food. Always there to greet you with big licky kisses on your return home,  especially to  Nathan on a Friday night, when she somehow knew he was due home after a long week at work. She would sit watching the door. She loved her long weekend walks to the parks and would follow Nathan around until he reached for her lead...Our special dog WINNIE

Dario's Kenny

                                                                                                              "KENNY"

                                                                                                        17-10-04 / 2-10-06

My Staff Kenny died just before Christmas, in what I view as quite tragic. I woke up just after midnight ( i start work at 1am so thats not unusual ) I could hear alot of noise and commotion downstairs, I went down and found Kenny fitting on the kitchen floor, he used to stay in the kitchen at night  anyway I called my missus downstairs and she promptly phoned our vets and got redirected to Canterbury. At this point Kenny was completley unresponsive his eyes were wide open but not focusing. We tried a different vets in Broadstairs who agreed to a call out. I was there within 10 mins. The vet sent me to the garage to get some ice to get his temperature down, but when i returned Kenny had passed away. The verdict the vet gave me that Kenny had had an epilitic fit probably quite a few hours before i found him. It was just unfortunate that it happened while everyone was sleeping. I just couldn't get my head around it. Found nothing on the web linking Staffs with epilepsy. I can't explain the feeling he was just nearly 2. My missus used to call him my son and it was like losing one...

Kenny's favourite thing was without a doubt his ball. He used to sleep with it!. It was the first thing he would do when he saw me-start looking for it. Think I bought it from Pets at home best £5 I ever spent. One time I threw it for him and he managed to head over my garage roof into nextdoors garden..Have you ever witnessed doggy depression? cos Kenny definatley had for a couple of days, until his sad face persuaded me to go on a 2 hour hunt in nextdoors garden, eventually i found it, and it was well worth it. He didn't put it down for days after...

A few other names we used to call him.. Dogleish being a Liverpool fan he was named after the great man. Also we use to call him Kennyrocerous cos he was so big and a bit clumsy he reminded me of a little Rhino...  I wouldn't own another breed. We will have another dog but when the time is right...
